Crown Heavy

2026-06-04 to 2026-07-30

This exhibition confronts the weight of power, responsibility, and self-recognition. A crown is both honor and burden, it marks you as chosen while demanding you to rise to what that choosing requires. These works explore what it means to wear your crown when it feels too heavy to hold. The pieces examine the tension between claiming your throne and carrying its weight. The artist who knows their gift but struggles with visibility. The leader exhausted by always being strong. The person who's achieved success but feels the isolation of elevation. The crown you fought for that now sits heavy on your head. We're told to be kings and queens, to own our power, to wear our crowns—but rarely do we speak about the weight. The loneliness at the top. The responsibility that comes with being seen. The pressure to never falter when others look to you. These works honor both the glory and the gravity of stepping into your power. Your crown is heavy because it's real. Will you still wear it? In collaboration with ERF350.
